How often did people have their braces adjusted?

I am just looking for some answers as i am getting them adjusted every 4 weeks and i have spoken to other people that have had braces and they say every 6 - 7 weeks. The 4 week adjustment time is my idea as i do not want to have them for very long, so my orthadontist said i can have them adjusted earlier. Has anyone experienced this and has the estimated time been shortened.

my braces were adjusted about every 4 weeks . i think this is about normal. sometimes i was out of town and i went up to eight weeks but that just makes it take longer to get finished at the end i went every two weeks to speed it up.

Yes, this is true. Some teeth move faster than others also.
