I've had a temporary cap put on my molar as of last Wednesday...it's still throbbing and sore. Normal?
Question:
Answers:
Sounds normal to me. You can try putting Anbesol on the gum around the tooth to help it. Also, stay away from real cold or real hot beverages, as they irritate the nerve and make it feel worse. Only chew on the other side. If it's going to be awhile before the permanent crown is ready and it's still bothering you, then call the dentist and let them know.
Good luck!
did they do root canal? if so yes its normal, but mention it when you go back for the real cap if its still hurting,
