After a dental exam I got a white sore in my mouth. I'm on antiobiotics but it's not healing. Suggestions?

Question:
I'm not sure if it's a canker sore but I've been putting baking soda on it but it's not healing. Does anyone have any good home remedies that may work on this?

Other Answers:
Suggest going back to your dentist and getting it checked out, and stop using the baking powder as it is obviously not doing anything for you. It is called baking powder for a reason.
Give it time.
run salt water through your mouth, help dry it up
if you're on antibiotics and they're not working, then go back to the doctor. the bacteria in the sore may be resistant and you may need stronger medication to kill them off.
I allways use anbesol it stings a little but then it goes numb and eventually it will go away
Call the dentist's office. They can probably give you good information over the phone.
go back to your dentist NOW! btw - are you or antibiotics or baking powder or both?
It's better to take your dentist's advice. Meanwhile instead of putting baking soda, put some salt on it, let it stay for a few minutes or as long as you can keep it and wash your mouth.
First of all those things are caused by cuts (like from eating nuts) and viruses (related to the herpes virus). Antiboiotics won't help. It depends on where they are located. Drying it out (holding my mouth open) and brushing it till it bleeds helps me.
