What could be causing the pain in my mouth to move from one place to another?

Call your dentist and tell him what is happening like you have said here and that you would like another appointment as soon as possible to come in and have exrays. That way the dentist can see if any infection in the jaw area. Penicillin may not be doing the job and he may have to give you a different kind of antibotic for the infection. You may want to think again about saving your tooth, and just have it pulled out. Sometimes you have to be pushy with dentists, you may have to go to the office and try to get him to see you that way. It usually takes up to three days for antibotics to really start working good also. And sense you are pregnant he has to be careful of what he gives you for pain. Hope I have helped you in some way.
