Even if you are embarrased. Wait until they get removed. Your teeth will be in far better shape than those that didn't wear braces.

im 24 and i wish i have kept mine in, i refused to wear them but i would do anything to get them now, except they cost heaps! if i got them now it would cost me £3,000... go for it and dont worry about it one bit!
hell no. my sister (15 yrs. old) has braces and tons of guys go for her. plus, i thinki bad teeth are way worse than braces. at least youre doing something about it, and you'll be thankful later on that you had them :D

I had them put on the backs of my teeth so they could not be seen but it would depend on what needs to be done to your teeth.I agree that it's still better than having dodgy teeth.You would regret that later on and prob ask yourself why you thought it was such a big deal.

I'm 15 and I have braces! Sometimes I get a bit self-concious about them, and I think that guys won't like me coz I wear braces but my boyfriend says he doesnt even notice them any more, and that he really didn't care even when he first met me!
I think we feel that they are more noticable than they actually are, but don't worry! No-one will think 'Ooo what a loser, she has braces!' coz first of all, they're not very noticible coz loads of teenagers and adults have them, and also, most people will have had them before, when they were younger, if they're lucky enough to have got rid of them at 16!
so really, i don't think it should be embarassing! Just think that soon, you'll have lovely straight teeth, which will be worth it! x

Even if they are, youll be glad you got them... I never had the option of getting them when i was younger and now I am 19 and my teeth embarrass me. Not only that but when your teeth are crooked, and too crowded it can cause food to get stuck between your teeth and if you cant get it out, you develop cavities. Trust me, youll be glad you got them!
NO! I had braces most of the time while I was young and I thought they were sexy..not to conceded. I want you to know I hope you go into this with positivity the whole way. You don't have to wear them forever and will have a beautiful smile. I went through a lot with my teeth. They had me wear little rubber bands attatched from the top to the bottom on both sides for a while but, they had pretty colors and they also doubled for braiding my friends hair you can get a pack anytime you need them from the dentist.
