Is this why black people's teeth look whiter?

Question:
I'm not trying to be racist and it would actually be a compliment anyway. But I've noticed that black people GENERALLY appear to have whiter teeth. Is this because of the contrast between their skin and teeth? Does the white stand out more?

Because I've noticed when I have white face cream or something on my face my teeth appear to be more yellow and not as white. Does the complexion of your face affect how white your teeth look?

So what I'm asking is would darker skinned people usually appear to have whiter teeth even if truly don't? Thanks.

Answers:
Yes, it's because of the contrast. If you put on dark red lipstick your teeth would look whiter too.
It is genetics. That and everything else.
