The possibility of flossing?

Question:
Is it likely, that if I floss twice daily, that by the next time I have a hygenist appointment in September, my gums no longer bleed?

Answers:
Yes, it is possible. Bleeding gums may indicate gingivitis, or inflammation. Very simply put, by flossing you are removing the food particles that cause bacteria that irritates your gums. If your gums are bleeding due to simple irritation, twice-daily flossing for a month should improve them considerably.

As other posters have suggested, a Water-Pik can be used in addition to flossing. You can buy these at pharmacies or even at Wal-Mart. The cordless version http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/i/11... is about $20-30. You can also purchase a system http://www.nicedentist.com/images/waterp... for about $40-50. You can use water or mouthwash in the Water-Pik and it makes your mouth feel remarkably fresh.
Yes. And if you use a Butler pik - a metal handle with a rubber tip, and massage your gums with it, that will help too.
Yes it's very likely.
Use unwaxed for at least one of the daily flossings.
I started flossing at least daily and my last dentist appointment was not horrible (usually my gums hurt like heck and for days after they are sore, and bleeding)
