its possible when you first get braces b/c your teeth hurt so much that you cant chew anything more that a cookie.

i don't think so. i have braces and i havent lost any weight...maybe in the beginning when you're adjusting to them, people lose weight because you don't eat as much
No. I've never heard anything like that, all your doing is fixing your teeth. I had braces for about 3 years and I didn't loose weight.
you mouth is sensitive for a day or two, so you are bound to eat less and lose a pound or so, but you will gain it back once you start eating properly - no worries!

I did, but only because of all the rules of what you can and cannot eat. Plus I stopped drinking sodas all together (you should at least stop drinking dark sodas so it doesnt stain). I guess it depends on your ability to stick to the "rules" of wearing braces.
It depends, when wearing braces you are forced to change your diet,for example no sticky candy. So that could effect your weight if you were a big candy eater. Also depending on the purpose of the braces your mouth could be sore after an adjustment, so you might be eating less.
hey im corrina, no this is a falso statment. . .if anything it will make you unhealth from having all of the metal in your mouth but it will not make you lose weight. . .
