I got my wisdom teeth out like almost a week ago it will be a week in 2 days can i smoke yet or no?
Question:
Answers:
It's safe for you to smoke, but since you've gone this long, why not just give it up?
Additional information: We only advise patients to refrain for the first few days after an extraction. Dry socket only develops in the first two to three days. As I said you are in the clear, you can smoke safely now without worry of causing problems to the extraction areas. I was only suggesting that it may be a good time to give it up if you've gone almost a week without them. It's hard to do, I know, but the first week is always the worst. It was only a suggestion about the smokes, not preaching or harping on the subject. Good luck!
you might not want to do that because smoking can lead to dry sockets and those are very painful and time consuming
because u have to make frequent visits to the surgeons
i had them for almost 3 months which isn't typical
i'd hold off
good luck
Its not worth the risk. Smokers are more likely to get whats called a "dry socket". just google it. its supposed to be completely painful.
I hope you are healing well..I am getting my evaluation with the oral surgeon on friday. then he'll pull out those suckers next week. Im not looking forward to it.
just quit, its a nasty habit!!
OMG yeah the dentist only needed you to stop so you didnt get dry socket which is truley painful but if your not bleeding and it dont hurt go for it. just dont suck hard for the first day or two just to be sure. enjoy your nicotine. I quit almost 2 years ago but im not going to be a crazy non smoker that downs everyone for doing it. enjoy.
You are already aware of the risks from smoking, after tooth
extraction they are comparatively minor when compared. As an ex smoker I can tell you that after one week your are hallway to quitting. Instead of smoking why not consider NRT You can do it! I did.
Good luck.
