Take a cup of hot water (as hot as coffee or tea) and dissolve a teaspoon of salt into it. Take it into your mouth and hold it in the area of the infection for a couple of minutes, spit it out and do it again. This will help to draw out the infection and remove any debris that could be caught under the flap of skin. The hot water also expands the blood vessels around the tooth and will aid in getting the antibiotic directly to it.
