Why did you make a 2:30 appointment, then?
Question:
Seriously. What are people thinking when they do this?
Answers:
Dentists DO run on time. However, there are emergencies and "high maintenance" patients who devour time that was not planned.
Patients come 15 min late and then take cell phone calls while in the chair.
Patients bring babies or little kids who need to be tended to.
Patients ask for cigarette breaks during treatment.
Patients want to tell you every detail of their last vacation/grandchild/birthday/h... remodle.
Patients scream "owwwwwww!" when you haven't touched them yet.
Patients want to tell you what they read on the internet about unnecessary dental treatment.
Next time you find yourself complaining because a dentist "screwed with you", think about the inconsiderate people before you who delayed your appointment time.
some people dont think and thats exactally the problem.
cuz people think they can get away wit it.
Maybe he thought it would be a short appointment? Or maybe he thought that dentists NEVER stick to their schedule anyway so he thought he'd screw with you the way you screw with everybody else!
I heard that some people only make 2.30. dental appointments because that is the only way they can remember them (tooth hurty).
This happens to me all the time. A pt. will show up for an hour long appt. and say they have to leave in 30 minutes for another appt., work, etc. What really burns me up though is the pt. who shows up 20-30- minutes late for an appt and then they get mad when you say you don't have the time to complete the treatment. A doctor sets up an alotted time for a procedure to be done and if you're late that cuts into the next pt's appt time. Thanks for letting me vent :)
C'mon...everyone books their dental appointment at tooth-hurty!
