I Have both... the tattoo on my lower back was kinda bad. The tongue piercing only hurt a little while they were doing it. They clamp your tongue so tight you barely feel it. The only thing that sucks is your tongue being swollen for about a week. All i had was ice, listerine and advil(for swelling not pain) for the first few days. Just make sure you research the place you go to. Same as with the tattoo.
Depends. A lot of people find it doesn't hurt at all; I was almost yelling and I have a high pain tolerance.
It hurt about 3 times what my tattoos hurt.
I dont have mine peirced, but watch out. You better go somewhere credible. If they hit the wrong place, you could lose all taste for the rest of your life.
I really want to get mine done! i've heard it only hurts for a little while but it stays swollen a week or so. the tattoo hurts more depending on how big and how many colours and things like that so i'd say the piercing would be less but i'm not sure.
Don't have a tattoo, but getting your tongue pierced doesn't hurt...in fact I thought getting my ears pierced was more painful. It feels like you bit your tongue very, very lightly. However, it's the after effects that hurt. I couldn't eat and ended up getting sick after it. I got the piercing removed after a week, and after that It took me weeks to get use to eating again. I had to be medicated and everything. If you're thinking about getting your tongue pierced I just want to make sure you're prepared.
Well all I know is thay when they pierce your tongue they hole punch it. They take a piece of tongue out, so as far as I know taking a piece of your tongue probably hurts alot!! Just sharing my knowledge on it, hope it helps!!
It doesnt hurt when you get it done. you cant even feel it. It becomes uncomfortable because your tongue swells up for a couple days, and you cant reallly eat anything. oh yeah and it hurts when you accidently bite the tongue ring.
I would rather get my tounge peirced because I think that hurt less than the tattoo on my back. After the peircing, it was over the tattoo lasted for an answer.
