How do I alleviate mouth pain / tooth ache naturally?

Question:
My wisdom teeth are growing in and next week I have a surgery consultation.
In the mean time they prescribed hydrocodone for pain but it's too strong for me and makes me feel woosy.

Is there anything else I can do so that I can still go to work every day but not deal with the pain?

Answers:
Motrin will alleviate the swelling around your tooth and stop the pressure on the nerves that are making your tooth ache in the first place. If you want something topical, do clove oil, it is a natural numbing agent...but be forewarned, it tastes terrible.
If the hydrocodone is a tablet, then why not try breaking it in half instead of taking a whole tablet?
Ora-gel will numb the area.
I would try oragel and some type of pian killer, like ibuprofin. The hydrocodone makes me feel sick too.
TOOTHACHE or mouth pain gives you sleepless nights of painful miseries and difficult chewing. Besides, it also threatens your whole health. Take oral medication fresh from Mother Nature using OraMD. It is made from natural ingredients that are safe and essential for your dental health.
Try advil extra strength.
ibuprofen 200mg - 400mg is quite good for dental pain.
keep the area round your wisdom teeth clean by using a warm salty mouthwash and brush gently.
