Both Listerine AND Listermint taste strong to me....(I have halitosis)...is this a symptom of something?
Question:
Answers:
listerine is VERY strong, and a lot of people have trouble using it as a result. it's not a symptom, it's just the way it is.
I don't think so. Most mouthwashes taste very strong because of the alcohol in them. I don't think I've found one yet that I really like... just tolerate.
If you're really worried though, set up an appointment to see the doc. Better safe than sorry.
Just that you're sensitive to strong chemicals.
I see that you have halitosis. I'm sure you've tried everything but... would you be up for some tips?
A lot of halitosis is due to chemical deficiency or poor dental hygiene.
May I suggest a strong supply of Vitamin C and a tongue cleaner? I have known a few people with extreme halitosis and after my suggestion of drinking plenty of Orange Juice and taking Vitamin C daily, also not only brushing one's teeth but tongue and roof of mouth. After a week of taking the vitamins and complete cleaning of the mouth twice a day, the effects of the halitosis is diminished greatly.
Good luck to you and I hope my suggestions work for you.
Both of the products you mentioned are very strong indeed, but this isn't s sure fire sign of something. Try flossing on a regular basis, it could be that food is trapped in your teeth, and like most food---it will spoil. If last weeks dinner is in your teeth it has rotted and is permiating a bad smell. Be sure when brushing to get deep into the back of the tongue and mouth. Brush your gums thouroughly, the sides of your mouth as well as the roof. And although this may sound yucky, a peroxide/water mix is a great way to kill germs. It isn't strong at all, although it doesn't leave the best taste in your mouth so gum or another squirt of toothpaste cancels it out. The peroxide bubbles as it works, which is proof that is killin germs, and the water turns down the intensity. Try a half and half solution about the size of the Listerine cap, and gargle with it.
Hope This Helps =]
