This will hurt - but it works for me every time. Either rinse your mouth with salt water, or apply a dab of salt directly to the sore. I don't know how this works, but it does. It'll feel better right away, and be nearly gone the next day.
It depends on their cause. Cankor sores can last for days depending on how you treat them. That goes with all types of mouth sores.
Honestly im not sure it varies time to time. I am prone to them religouly and they can take months to go, fortunately mine dont hurt when i catch them so it doesnt seem to bother me, maybe it depends on how the mouth is treated as in brushing,rinsing, eating and drinking. They are more likely to go quickly if you brush them and rinse with water and mouthwash.
the commonest type of mouth ulcer is the so called 'apthous' ulcer, these are viral, recurrent and don't really have any useful treatment. Cold things like ice cream and cold drinks are soothing, eating hot, acidic of sharp foods can make them nip. Sometimes the teething gels like Bonjela are also helpful.
The average ulcer lasts about 10 days, however they can occur in crops and if you are unlucky just as one ulcer heals another forms, thus an outbreak can last more than 10 days. Sometimes steroid paste or suckable tablets are tried, they don't shorten the episodes and I am not even convinced they even reduce the symptoms that much.

Ulcers last for no less than 10 days, they might get less painful if you use some medication but nothing can get rid of them even though it may feel like the pain has gone.

All depends on the size of it usually around a week or so. Best way to help heal then take some whiskey and hold it in your mouth for a couple of minutes. This will numb your mouth and ulcurs and help clear them up quicker.

if they don't seem to clear up, get them checked out by your dentist, it may not be ulcers, sometimes cells in the mouth can turn funny and need different treatment, if left untreated, can turn cancerous.
A few days or a week ive got a mouth ucler it painful its even more painful when i put bonjela on it
