OH just a clue..i have already taken 6 ibuprofen tonight..and they are 200 mg each...and that did NOTHING>>>>so think strong

Answers:
Well, I always take 800 mg of Ibuprofen at one time when I have pains. It's the max you can take without damaging your liver but still getting positive effects. It also helps control the swelling and inflamation in your gums (thats probably what acually hurts).
Try rinsing your mouth with salt water to get any bacteria out. Then put ambesol on the areas that hurt, it numbs it a bit, but doesn't last for long.
Then just try rounds of various medications, Tylenol, Aleeve, etc. Whatever works best for you.
When you call the dentist's to make an appointment make sure to ask for the soonest availible and let them know that you are in severe pain. Most will be able to accomidate you within a day or two (but most won't be open til monday!).
And when you go in ask for a perscription for something stronger for the pain if you still can't handle it with OTC's (over the counter meds). They will probably percribe Vicoden, 2 at a time. But start with 1 to see if it helps first. It is very irritating to the stomach and can cause nausea.

Oh yeah, there is a small pill by Dr. Shoals (I believe) in with the infants teething products that help babies alot when they are cutting teeth, maybe trying a few of these will help. Its a small clear bottle with a white label all around with a pink and a blue stripe. Sort of hard to find, but I can usually get them from Wal-mart.

Good luck!

go to the dentist
Try a heat pack or hot water bottle on the side of your face.
Lavender or Peppermint Oil - applied directly also helps.
Good Luck and make sure you go to the dentist! :-)
You have two options:

Ask someone to punch you in the face (to exchange one pain for another), or:

Get your wisdom teeth pulled out.
Let someone hit you over the head with a frying pan. That should do the trick.

You will continue to have this pain until your wisdom teeth are pulled. I went through the same thing. Don't over-medicate yourself. If it's not working...don't take more. You're just harming yourself even more.
The overdose of Ibuprofen is toxic. Don't do that. Try Anbesol and heat packs and get to a dentist ASAP!!
Contrary to what someone else has said do NOT use a hot water bottle! My dentist had a fit when I told her about that, she said it increases the chance of an infection which of course will give you even more pain.
Ibruprofen is an anti- inflamatory you need a painkiller. Go to the chemist and ask them whats the strongest you can get.
But as a lot of others have said you need to get the teeth out. I had severe tooth problems for 8 years with my wisdom teeth because my dental phobia stopped me going. In the end i had to, I found a great dentist, had them whipped out and I've not had tooth ache at all since.
oil of cloves on a piece of cotton wool might work for a while, careful not to get it on your gums though because it burns. What you already know though is that you need a dentist. The biggest pain is the bill.Hope you get sorted soon.
