Black dot on tooth?

Question:
I have had it for months and it has not gotten bigger or become painful. It is really small. It's just a harmless stain right? I mean I once had a spot about 3 times larger than this one and my dentist just put a sealant on top of it and said it would seal it out and make it die? Will that work? Can stains on your teeth be in the shape of a little black dot?

Answers:
Yes, it can only be a stain needing a dental cleaning. If the dentist suspects that it is a cavity, he or she can put a sealant or a small filling on it.

Could be a small dental carey (cavity).
For goodness sake stop asking questions on here about it and go to your damn dentist if you're that concerned about it! No-one can tell you what is wrong with your tooth without seeing it. A black spot could be a cavity, or it could just be a stain, but the only person who'll be able to tell you which it is, is your dentist. So stop wasting time asking the same question on here again and again, and make an appointment to see your dentist!!!!
