If u have a overbite is it better to get an invisalign or braces?

Hi! I've been in dentistry for over 25 years. Invisalign is not as effective for an overbite and could take much longer than you want. You have to wear the trays 24/7 for something like this and you will hate it. Braces are specialized to fit you individual need. No tow people have the same mouth and to pay all that monies for trays and they work, you will be upset. Pulling teeth back requires for effort and braces are the best. Also you can get clear braces now made of ceramic if you do not like the metal. You can also get colored ones to match your school colors or favorite sports team so that is a conversation piece to meet people.
Please talk this over with your dentist. You need a hands on professional see the degree of your overbite and explain that you need the wires to pull the teeth into their proper place and adjust your bite so not only look great, but you will love it. If you have any other questions, please ask. Marie
braces
braces
you should get braces they will work alot better and you will not have a s much pain
it depends on what u feel most comfortable with! u already know what braces look like? a whole bunch of metal in your mouth! why dont u try invisalign, its probably much better
Invisilign is much easier to deal with but will take you longer than with braces. you don't wear the invisilign trays all the time so if will take twice as long to train your teeth into place.
If you don't mind the look and care needed for braces then I reccomend them.
braces will work better because invisalign just fixes gaps or teeth that need moved just a little bit so basically if you have just a small overbite it might work but i9 would still go with braces
i have an overbite and i have braces for it and ive had then on for about 2 weeks and my teeth are already moving. braces are better
I think braces would be better. I dont know if invisalign can handle the overbite
My orthodontist told me that not every body is a good candidate for invisalign and that people with invisalign needs to go see the orthodontist more often (for adjustments and stuff) You should still ask an orthodontist to see which is a better option. I could be wrong.
braces. they work better and don't take as much time.
Curiously, the best treatment for an overbite is a combination of braces, and jaw correction surgery. To find out more on jaw correction surgery go to http://www.oceansurgical.com.au/jawcorre...
