Dental schools do it for free, but only if you have insurance. They also aren't allowed to tell you prices over the phone.
Call your local university and ask for the dental school.
try a dentist school. they often do it for free, for the students to learn on
Go see a dentist. Get the teeth evaluated and they will formulate a plan. If you are rich, they might do lots of root canals and implants and such. If you are poor, dentures is the way to go. Have your teeth removed and dentures made. Could be partial dentures and part your own teeth. Try getting tops done .then bottom to get used to them.
This costs money, so save your pennies. So far, I don't think medicaid or medicare pays for this, and most dental plans only pay part of it.
well if there cavitys you gota get a filling if not then use listerene like 5 times a day and act 5 times also use the crest whiting trips or try simply white
You can search in your area for low cost dentistry. If you contact your local Medicaid office they can usually refer you to dentists in the area, or at least to charities that might be able to. The WIC office can sometimes help as well. Also, depending on where you live you can try to find a dental school. The students are heavily supervised, so don't panic! But you can get work done for much less.
If yours are so bad they need removing there is a company that offers some really good prices compared to other offices. They have offices in many states, and they do ONLY extractions/dentures so they know what they are about. You get your dentures SAME DAY which helps with healing, and you don't go toothless for weeks waiting. Check out their site if you find you need to.
Best of luck, and in the meantime here are some notes for pain relief.
Some recommendations I've heard over the years.
1-Ambesol, OTC, etc.
Obviously this is a common remedy.
2-Ice & Heat one or the other or alternating
Used in a towel on the outside of your jaw.
Ice or Ice pack for cold.
Warmed [microwave] beans/rice in a towel for heat.
3-Oregano [flakes] directly on tooth
A natural remedy that works for some types of pain.
4-Cloves/Clove Oil
Burns like hades but works for a short time, like ambesol.
5-Baking Soda and water
No idea if this works, as I've never tried it but I've heard you put 2 Tablespoons in water and swish mouthfuls until the whole glass is gone.
6-Tylenol or Ibuprophen
Ib is an anti-inflammetory, do NOT take aspirin as it is a blood thinner and can make things worse.
7-Peanut Butter
Never tried it, but I could see how the consistancy would prevent any heat/cold/food/liquid from accessing the sore and causing more pain.
I haven't tried all these, and every person is different, but perhaps one will relieve your pain until you can see a doc.
Best of luck. I know just what you're going through so I hope it works out affordably and quickly for you.
You can always contemplate dental implants. To find out more on dental implants go to http://www.oceansurgical.com.au/implants...
