My sons silver cap came off his tooth...?

Question:
he's had the cap on his tooth for about 4 yrs and it came off. The tooth is still in and he says it doesn't hurt. Anyone ever have any experience with this? I'm waiting 4 my destist 2 call me back but I'm kind of freaking out. Should I freak out and run him 2 a different dentist asap or just chill?

Answers:
my son has crowns too and as long as it doesnt hurt him u could probably wait till tommorow and they will take him back and glue the cap back on. aure u sure that he isnt in the process of losing that tooth? i sorta freaked when this happened to my son his first time and i stupid for bringing him in only to find out his tooth was loose and fixin to come out. but go ahead and call his dentist but dont run him to a dentist. it can be fixed tommroow... hope this helps...
something similar happened to my daughter one of hers was wiggly and i thought maybe she ate hard candy but the dentist said it was her permanant tooth pushing it out they just pulled it the rest of the way out and charged me $60
Nothing to worry about. It was just time for the tooth to fall out. When the tooth comes out the crown stays on. He just lost another tooth. Dont worry. Tell him the tooth fairy gives more money for silver teeth.
