Does it hurt to get braces off?

It doesn't hurt one bit, I mean the only think you could possibly feel is when they take the brackets off and that doesn't hurt. If your Ortho is a great DDS, then don't even worry about that. If someone tells you that it hurts really bad, then they must have had a REALLY bad one. Don't worry, when they get them off, you'll won't stop smiling :D!
Doesn't hurt at all. There are some clicking noises when they pop the brackets off but it doesn't hurt at all. It feels so good to have your normal teeth back, it is awesome
not at all
They remove the wire and detach the 'studs' off of the teeth. It's not painful.
I felt a little more comfortable after they came off. It felt weird when the glue was scraped off, but didn't hurt.
not really the only part that is unpleasureable is the brackets getting pulled off but its worth it! [at my orthodontist they sing to you!!] lol.
No, and your teeth will feel so awesome.
no at all i just got mine of and at first they feel all slippery and weird but the only thing that annoyed my when i was getting my braces off was the noises of the little tools they use but totally painless!!
I had ceramic braces... And it was pretty gruesome what they did to me. No numb WHATSOEVER, just straight to the buisness. They told me to relax, which I did. And they took this huge pincer thing and clipped it to my brackets right? And they told me to close my eyes, and then they broke it. Right there in front of me. It felt like there were smashing my teeth. All these ceramic pieces were flying everywhere all over my face and in my dentist's hair. Painful? Quite indeed. But after when they are finished, you will feel relieved.
