Answers:
has he triped and fell on his teeth? he may bee losing them you need to see a denist asap.
do you have well water?? that's the only thing i can think of :)
See the dentist. Antibiotics used to discolor teeth when I was a kids. (I'm 50) but I haven't seen that in a long time.
did you take tetracycline when you were pregnant?
The same thing happened to my son's teeth when he was about that age. You need to take him to the dentist. His teeth are most likely decayed.
Could be a vitamin deficiency..I am a Nurse.
Jesus Saves!
I definitely agree with Kalie. The roots could be dying. He may loose his teeth permanently. See a doc.
Also, teeth come in all shades. Mine are almost clear at the edges! So they can look a bit grey next to white paper. My dentist said it was normal. Only a doc can say!
Good luck.
maybe a dead tooth needs to be seen to, to find out , dont worry they are only baby teeth
he is quite old enough to be taken to the dentist.
- dont be lazy on here asking, go and take him. thats all you need to do.
They could be rotten on the inside.

If your child was on medication at a young age, it can color teeth. It's called Toddler Teeth Discoloration.
Have you tried to use baking soda to remove the stains? If they don't come off, it has to be from medication, and that's not really a good thing. Because the cells responsible for making enamel are sensitive to disturbances caused by illness and medication. Considering that children with toddler teeth discoloration are still in the midst of tooth development, it is important that they consult a dentist as soon as possible.
the one who asked if you have well water-well water has no fluoride.this can increase softness and promote cavities. When my kids were little i was lucky enough to have someone who knew about it for a pediatrician. These days a lot of doctors don't bother to tell you stuff unless you know to ask the right questions. You can buy fluoride drops and you can buy water that has the fluoride right in it. These are baby teeth but they can affect the adult teeth that are about to come in behind them so it is imperative that after seeing the dentist,if these are indeed cavities, you start making sure you have fluoride in the water that he drinks. You can even use the bought water to make his kool-aid or frozen juice concentrate.
I remember reading something about this during class...and it was somthing about to much of something while he was in the womb. but i'm at work i will have to check when i get home... sorry i couldnt be more help right now!
I think they might be decayed, too. I had a friend who always sent her toddler to bed with a bottle of apple juice. He had a root canal before he was three.
Some antibiotics Still do discolour teeth.. tetracyclines.
Either taken by the child or the mother during pregnancy.
Talk to your dentist
has he fallen or otherwise hit them and damaged them. it happened to my son when he was 3 - hes now 10 the front teeth turnedgrey but dentist said no treatment was necessary. teeth eventually fell out couple of years ago and he now has perfect second teeth in their place. id get it checked by dentist but hopefully nothing to worry about.
Tetracycline antibiotics may cause grey discoloration of teeth if used in patients below 8 years of age.
Tetracyclines / BRAND NAMES:
Demeclocycline / DECLOMYCIN
Doxycycline / ATRIDOX, DORYX, MONODOX,
PERIOSTAT, VIBRAMYCIN, VIBRATABS
Minocycline / ARESTIN, DYNACIN, MINOCIN,
MYRAC
Oxytetracycline / TERRAMYCIN
Tetracycline / SUMYCIN
Virtually any of the various answers given so far could be right and it's impossible to say which without seeing your son.
Looks like you are doing the right thing taking him to the dentist as soon as poss.
