Getting wisdom teeth out on wednesday?

Question:
I'm getting laughing gas. What should I know before I go? (How I will it make me feel, any side effects, how it is given)

Answers:
Well, that's what I had when I had my wisdom teeth out and I remember they gave it to me through a mask. Before I went out, I remember feeling a bit queasy and off-kilter.

Coming off of it was harder - I was really out of it for at least a full day. Everything affects everyone differently, though!
its basically a mask that covers your nose..sometimes your nose and mouth it might smell kinda fruity. its gona make you feel goofy, fuzzy, and tingly all over. the side affects are probably just dizziness after its all over..you might say some really stupid stuff too. dont be worried about it.
Oh man, it is awesome! I was so nervous for that surgery, but the gas just made everything amazing. I forgot any nervousness. There was this picture of a pond with ripples on the wall, and the ripples started moving. Then, the nurse would walk buy and ask me how I was feeling, then I would turn to answer her about 10 seconds later, only to see her laughing. It was awesome.
with the laughing gas they put a little oxygen mask thing over your mough and nose. it's comfortable and you breath fine, and you breathe in the gas at the same time. It makes you feel calm so you're not really nervous and jittery.
Some people get panic attacks and completely freak out at the dentist, so weird!

I never did need the gas though, but my 10 year old sister was scared and they gave some to her and she was just totally fine after that. completely calm.
also: even with the gas you can still alert the dentist if you're feeling uncomfortable so it's not scary or anything.

what you should know:
I am 17 and have gotten 3 teeth pulled, all on the same day (my mom is a dental assistant).
well they give you a few shots in your mouth to get you all numb first.
then they start doing a bunch of work to pull out your teeth. it seems like it takes forever but really it's only like 10-15 mins for them to do it.
the worst thing is the cracking noise you'll hear. you'll hear it when the teeth are being pulled and they'll tell you. you feel a little pressure but no pain. But with the gas I don't even know if you'll hear it. I only heard it for like 2 seconds.

procedure revised and detailed:
first - laughing gas to calm you down
2- shots to numb you
3- then all you feel is pressure after that. sometimes they drill a little bit to loosen the tooth
4- teeth are removed.
then you're done! and they give you some pain meds to take afterwards.
your mouth might feel a little weird and a tiny bit sore the next couple days. I didn't have a problem with it though.
it all went by really fast.
The weird thing is, people always think it's going to be so much worse than it is!
it's so easy and well worth it.
oh, and you can bring headphones to listen to while they fix you up.
take it easy and don't worry at all.

good luck!
Seriously, do not eat or drink before you go. Right before they put me under, the doc asked if I had anything to eat or drink. I said no, I'd only had a Coke. He said they would have to cancel because I could vomit and suffocate myself. Whatever. Anyway, I had taken off work, so I had to get it done and they only used a local anesthetic. It didn't hurt much, but it sucked being awake while they broke my teeth out of my skull.
