I get mines in a few weeks and i'm getting clear on the top and red and black on the bottom (school colors).
You can really get any color you want. Your most likely going to have your brace for a while so you can change them everytime you go for a check-up. The only thing I wouldn't get is white because after a while they start to turn yellow... silver and gray blend in with the braces so you don't notice them as much, but let the colors express yourself and have fun!
you should either try to make it neutral or really bright. if you want to make a statement, go for orange. if you want to downplay the whole braces thing.. go for grey like everybody else is saying.

I have baby blue right now and you can barely SEE THEM!! =]
All of my friend asks me if I had gotten my braces yet and I told them that I already did.. They just didn't notice them!
If you don't want any color or if you can't decide then I suggest you should get silver.
If you want something dark then dark is still good just don't get dark green, it looks like you got food stuck in your teeth.
But if you want clear/white, make sure you brush your teeth after every meal. And make sure you don't eat anything red like ketchup, spagettii, and all. Cause it will make your teeth looked yellow or turn into an ugly color.
what ever you do dont get yellow, it will always look like you have really dirty teeth. sory. try a nice colour like maybe blue or purple
