You should look into the dental schools in your area. The dental students will be doing the work under the supervision of a dentist. They are alot cheaper than a regular office because the students are doing the work. My husband got his braces done at a dental school and they did a great job.
Same as the answer above, but your health insurance is right. Braces are a cosmetic thing. As long as he can eat and talk it really does not matter what his teeth look like. Health insurance sucks.
Ask your dentist/orthodontist to submit a narrative to the dental insurance company, along with an appeal and a copy of your son's xrays~

The insurance company may reconsider their decision.

Good Luck!

Invisalign is kind of like braces. What it is basically clear retainers. You get a new set every two weeks. Its actually cheaper and faster working than braces. I have them, I'm 16 and I love them. I forget I eve have them in. The best feeling is when you see old friends and they ask you "When did you get your braces off?". Well I've never had braces. It makes you feel so good. But they are a lot cheaper. Some dentists are certified to do it, some are not. Depending on your case and probably where you live it can be from $2500-$4500. Thats what I was told. It comes with a xray, the molding of the teeth, the aligners, and the retainer that you will wear after its all done. Basically like braces, once you get them off you get a retainer. Same here. I'm not sure if you have this but where im from there is "care Credit" what it is, is basically like a credit card and you can pay off the dentist like that and then pay care credit back. Thats what my family did. But here is the website, and good luck with everything!

You should know by now that the medical/dental insurers are disgusting greedy companies ran by scumbags who will do anything to make money, which includes finding any excuse to deny claims, unfortunately for you and your son, braces are cosmetic and non-essential Do you have teaching hospitals in the US? If so, try there for discounted rates. good luck :)
hi try getting medicad , fiedelis, hpp ... all of them offer it for free
