What kind of toothpaste is safe for 4 year old?
Question:
Answers:
Either is fine, whatever he or you prefer, though sometimes children find the minty too "spicy". With any toothpaste the child should not be swallowing it and only a pea size amount is needed. Lastly, they should brush and then an adult should also brush since their dexterity and motivation isn't necessarily so great.
Hope that helps!

**** ALSO, the above poster said it is ok to have them swallow kid's toothpaste, that isn't so if it has fluoride in it!
Too much swallowing fluoride will cause the adult teeth to come in with white spots on them.
the kid one is made for kids cause it is ok if it is swallowed. normal toothpaste is not good if swallowed
adult is fine, but if you are worried about Fluoride exposure check the concentration to see if it's the same and adjust. Most kids toothpaste is either w/o fluoride or less concentration.
Hi i would say that your 4 year old can use the same toothpaste as you use. the only difference is that adult toothpastes have a higher count of fluoride in them. You can read how much is in it on the back of the toothpaste.
Also check if there is fluoride in your local water supply if there is i would still to childrens toothpaste until he is around 5 or 6 years old. Hope this helps!
