Crater-like Sore inside my mouth?

Question:
Well I don't know if it is from bitting my cheeks or something, but there is this sore inside of my mouth, on the cheeks, which feels like a crater. It is small and round. Is it just a normal sore and will it go away in a few days?

Answers:
It could be a form of STD, if you've been kissing someone.

If you are taking any prescription medications, check the side effects.

Are you eating to much sugar or products that contain high fructose? Do you have any food allergies?

Buy you some Australian Tea tree oil. Go to a hobby store and buy a 2 oz spray glass bottle. Mist your mouth gently with the Australian Tea tree oil, (not enough to swallow) 2 times a day. If problem persist see a doctor.
You have a canker sore. Its the result of a virus that has infected a small cut inside your mouth. They are very painful and last for about a week or so. Use oragel or any other local mouth numbing agent to reduce the pain. Avoid spicy and acidic foods as well.

To prevent further sores make sure you are brushing regularly and rinse with an antiseptic mouthwash. If you have broken orthodontics cutting your mouth up get them fixed ASAP. It's not a big deal so don't worry about it.
HERPEEES!! AHHH! RUN AWAY

try the mouth rinse made by colgate (name escaping me right now) in the mouthwash section. peroxyl, that's it. it's for people with mouthsores. it works really well.
It sounds like a canker sore and, yes, it will go away in a few days. :)
It is probably a canker sore. Use listerine or peroxide and water twice a day.

Any of these conditions could actually threatens your whole health and worst could kill someone if left untreated. It's hight time to free yourself from the dangers of dental problems. Biting your cheeks can cause a small lesion which usually will turn into a canker sore (not to be confused with a cold sore which is a viral infection on the outside of the mouth on the lips.) These can take a few days to possibly weeks to completely dissapear, depending on your body's healing process...

Best advise from somebody who had braces for 4 years, has had many in her lifetime and now works in dental offices:

-Avoid foods/drinks high in acid and salt which cause irritation.
-Stick to a toothpaste that does NOT contain lauryl sulfate which can also be irritating to the sore.
-Carry some sort of topical numbing gel or cough drops high in benzocaine for maximum numbness.
-Let time take it's toll..this is as much help as I can give.

Take care.

link below just describes lauryl sulfates for those of you intersted...
When you say that you don't know, then it behooves you to come to know, see?

The best way to come to know, given that you don't know, is to see a physician or dentist.

Don't guess. You do say you don't know if it's one thing or another. That is not good. You do well to at least have an intuition or inkling, but this you don't have. So now you must provide yourself with what is sure-fire knowingness.

When you know something, you are providing yourself with the very first steps toward a solution, or in your case -- a cure.
