Oh gosh...terrified?

Question:
They have to take about 4 teeth out for my braces.im terrified...so like, I will be bleeding a lot I suppose...and I will look like a freak with huge gaps of teeth missing i suppose as well. And my question is, when they pull it out, will you feel it?? like all the pulling or, I DONT KNOW!!

What do u feel? I have to take out all the pre-molars.
Im-a pee in my pants the day of the appointment. LoL.

oh and the needle..how big is it?? does it hurt when they first put the needle?? hoe many shots will i need for 4 teeth?? does it feel weird when they are injecting thenumbing thing? HELP...im freaking out.

Answers:
They should put you under sedation, so it won't hurt. And when they put the needle in, that doesn't really hurt too bad either. It's more of a little pinch... And the numbing DOES feel kind of weird, but it's cool at the same time. =)
i never had braces but i have had teeth removed they may or may not numb ur mouth if they do, u dont feel a thing except a big fat lip lol but if they dont then obviously it will hurt!! sorry :(
I'm not going to sugar coat it. Yes, it's going to hurt, but it's not going to be UNBEARABLE, you will be alright, and your teeth will look better in the long run. The needle's not huge, and yes you can feel it, it doesn't hurt, but it's uncomfortable.

Don't freak out, everything will be alright...
Yeah the needle is pretty damn big. I'd suggest that you keep your eyes shut. When I had a bottom premolar pulled it felt like the dentist was trying to pull my entire jawbone out of my gum. It was very painful when he was doing it but afterwards it wasn't too bad and it didn't bleed too much. Just take care of the sockets so they don't get infected and don't worry you can't really see a gap.
you wont feel a thing...i promise! they numb your teeth/gums first. its not a very big needle, and you will be out cold because you will be sleeping from the pill they give you (which tastes like nothing) its not a big deal and you're gonna laugh at how scared and terrified you were after the appointment is done!
my best wishes,

I've never had any teeth pulled, but I've had a few fillings, and was numbed for all but one. And trust me, the novacaine needle is better than the alternative. The needle they use to numb you doesn't hurt that bad, but it is really big. More scary than painful. It hurts a little and feels a little weird. Having your whole face numbed is sort of unpleasant. You can also still feel things, but just pressure, not pain. The first time they used a lot of novacaine and my face was numb for hours. I think if they're pulling several teeth, I would think they might use general anestheia. But maybe it isn't serious enough for that.
I had braces and i know what you are goin through..if they are hte molers..do not worry about that...your wisdom teeth will push the rest together...hey think of it this way...if it is your molars then you will not have the wisdoms removed...i have mine and i'm 34...all because they pulled 4 teeth...

You won't feel the needle go in cause there is a way for them to touch your gum before they put it in.

I think you will need just 2 if they put it in the back part of your jaw...

Don't freak out...calm down .you'll be ok.i went through it when i was in 5th grade..
