What colour are the veins under your tongue supposed to be?

Question:
When i strech my tongue out to the left or right and i look to the side of my tongue abit its grey... I dont know if these are veins or what? Are veins under your tongue supposed to be grey?

Answers:
I just looked under my tongue and the veins (and you ARE supposed to have veins there, not to mention arteries!) range from a deep purplish red to almost a blue color. The color can vary with stress level (if your blood pressure is higher, they'll stand out more), and also depending on the tissue surrounding them. Everyone's tongue is different, so don't panic if you think yours looks unusual.
green
sorry to burst ur bubble, ur not supposed to have veins in ur tongue
Mines are blue but if I were to make my tongue bleed the blood would be red. The reason why the veins under your tongue are gray could be because the blood traveling through those veins have yet to pass through your lungs to oxygen and thus making them turn red.you get it.
