Im 13 to and going into 7th grade. I got braces when i was about 10 and they really dont hurt . The only thing is that when you first get them it will be hard to eat for a couple of days so for a couple days i would eat soup. The best thing is you get to pick the colored rubber bands like once a month and you can also do like a pattern of colors.
it depends. when you get them tightened, it hurts for a couple days, but other than that, they don't hurt. your teeth get used to them.
Go to the dentist to see if they have anything. While you eat just eat soup or anything soft
yes they hurt when they are first put on.
after a week or so you'll get use to them and they wont hurt
getting them off is the worst
i had them for 2 years.
they suck
When they are first put on yes. Every time they get tightened yes. If they rub against your lip or cheak and cut you yes. But not usually.
Yeah - they hurt. Keep lots of Tylenol around.

(But the more you wear them the easier it gets.)
hi! im 14 and i got my braces when i was ur age. they hurt when you first get them, but afetr a couple of days you get used to it. the braces also may feel a little to big for your mouth and may be very uncomfortable to eat..but i promise it will get better.
when they get tightend it hurts but only for the day then u kinda get used to it
get them when your young ya its gonna hurt but there other kinds of braces that dont hurt that much
hope i help
I have had braces for a little over a year and they do not hurt. They only hurt right after you get them but if you take an asprin before you go to get them on you should be fine. Then they just feel awkward afterwards but you get used to them. I love my braces now!! I hope this helped
just when you get them tightened, dont worry, you will just fine
I'm 30, I've had them 9 months now with 7 months to go. They have only really hurt two times. Initially when i had them put on and this past wire i had put on. Other than that a few canker sores and a few mildly sore teeth its not bad. I would not worry, but everyone's experience is different. Keep the end result in mind and you'll be fine.
I'm sure pain doesn't correlate with age. Most people that wear braces have a little pain at first, but it usually wears off with time. It's not horrible pain. Mine really only hurt when I tried to eat after I got them on, otherwise I was fine. Just take some Motrin or other pain reliever you usually take for a toothache and you'll be great.
well yes they are going to hurt. but its worth it in the end. its better to suffer for a little while and have perfect teeth for the rest of your life than to have crocked ones. thats the way i figure it.

you might want to start eating soft foods like applesauce, ramen, eggs, ice cream, ect. but after you get used to them you can try burgers and other stuff like that.

good luck!!
i will be 13 in march and i am getting braces august.3 and i am getting spacers next week but i don't think it will hurt
