My jaw hurts?
My right jaw has been hurting for 2 days now. I actually was at the dentist the day before it started hurting and he did x-rays so I am pretty sure that the pain is not tooth related. Could he have missed something? It aches down into my lower jaw and only feels better with ice, heat really seems to make it hurt worse. My teeth are not sensitive to hot at all and only slightly to cold, but they have been that way for as long as I can remember. Any thoughts?
Just get my braces (train tracks) sour..?

Stress or jaw clinching does it for me. After I am done with the dentist , clinching my jaw open my jaw feels stiff for a few days. Ibuprofen and cold pack helps. If it gets worse or after a week not getting better best call your dentist back and see what they say.
Gum Disease. I have these gaps between my gums & teeth. Dentist says it's gum disease.?
sinus pain can make you jaw hurt too.
do braces reshape your jaw. If you dont know i would appreciate it if you didnt answer?
I can only think of two things off the top of my head, since I've had both.
First, if you crack any of your joints- have you even had pain in your joints because you haven't cracked them? It hurts a lot and only feels better if you crack them, like fingers or your back... well, the jaw cracks too, and sometimes it hurts because you get air in the jaw's joint which need to be cracked out. If this is the case, I'd suggest moving your lower jaw a lot to try to crack it, see if it helps.
Second, you may have pulled a muscle or pinched a nerve near your jaw which hurts a lot whenever you engage your jaw in action. Both of these go away fairly easily, just lightly massage the area and move your jaw a bit to stretch the muscles an such, after a while (could be a few hours, or it could be a day or so) it'll go away. I'd suggest to use ice, but not too frequently so it won't slow down the blood flow too much.
If the pain persists, see a doctor or dentist about other possible things it could be.
Hope this helps,
Brandi
