Ever had this experience with a dentist?
My dentist of several years (graduate of U.O.P.) finally drove me to somebody else. When my new dentist finished an initial examination it became obvious that not only had my old dentist been double billing the insurance company and overcharging, he was incompetent.
Anybody else been the victim of a dentist from a supposedly high-end school that turned out to be BOTH dishonest and incompetent?
Answers:
No, but you can report the guy. Call the insurance company first. Your new dentist might not want to help you turn your ex-dentist in, but maybe he will. Or, try Googling or look in the yellow pages.
The dentist must have a state license. That's certainly one place to contact.
I hope you will say something so that he can't keep doing this to other people!

Perhaps you could expand your question to include details of exactly how your former dentist was "double-billing" the insurance.
To be honest, it's not all that easy to do. Insurance companies are wise to this sort of thing and have complex computer programs to catch duplicate charges.

Wisdom teeth removal for braces?
If you're picking your dentist on where he/she went to school, then you get what you deserve. How is the dentist double billing the insurance...dental insurances do not pay for the same procedures twice...they will find out and ask the dental offices for refunds.
