My daughter had a tooth pulled yesterday and now the hole where the tooth was pulled is covered with white.?
My 4 yr old daughter had a tooth pulled yesterday and tonight when i went to brush her teeth I noticed that the hole where the tooth was pulled is covered in a white substance, her lip is swollen and there is a white like pocket looking thing only on the side the tooth was pulled, and her tounge is covered in a white and green colored film or something I dont know how else to explain. however, where her tounge sits next to the hole of the tooth that was pulled, the tounge does not have that film on it it is just bright red. What is the problem. i called the E.R and they told me to wait until the dentist opens in the morning.

if she is not in discomfort probebly it is blood clot and do not remove it it may start bleeding. I wuld live it alone and call dentist in the morning. Her lip may be traumatized during extraction, cold compres may help.It shuld be OK.

get her to rinse her mouth with warm salt water if you can =it will be hard for a 4 year old to understand what to do =you may have to show her by doing it yourself=make a game of it

just sit tight till mornin as im not a dentist, it might be puss, and maybe infected as i said im not a dentist and i wouldnt be sure, but a dentist will know for sure, give her a little bit of tylenol or aspirin for pain.

there`s nothing wrong that happens after you get a tooth pulled or it comes out sometimes if it does not go away after a week then get a hold of your dentist
Sounds like she was biting/chewing her tongue while it was "numb"...could explain why her tongue is swollen.
