Sounds like an abcess under the tooth. I feel for ya---been there!
Call your dentist first thing in the morning...you may need an extraction or root canal (don't worry if you've never had one. I've had several and never felt a thing!)
If your dentist is on call, call him tonight and ask him to call you in a prescription for Lorcet---it's a GREAT dental-pain reliever.
Have you seen the dentist? You may have an infection, therefore until treated with an antibiotic no amount of pain med will do much.
When are you seeing a dentist? I've heard that putting an aspirin tablet on the biting surface of the painful tooth, then biting down while it dissolves can help. Call your dentist tomorrow!
Have you tried anbasol (not the right spelling)? It will only help temporarily.
First of all, I'm not a dentist, but I can tell you from experience what happened to me. Mine was an abscessed tooth. The way it was explained to me is that it is an infection inside the tooth and it is trying to swell, but the tooth doesn't give and that's why the pain is so intense. Go to a dentist as soon as you can because it won't stop hurting until you get antibiotics.
Hope this helps!
go to dentist if able. i know it cost money, but a bad tooth can cost you your life if infection sets in.do not put asprin on tooth, it will eat a hole in your mouth and just agraviate exposed nerves
Stick your hands in the freezer...your brain will sense your extremities are cold and send blood to your hands taking pressure off your tooth
You have an abscess! You need antibiotics and a root canal. Get to your dentist ASAP--the infection can spread to the bones in your face and cause permanent damage. It can't wait. It is a dental emergency.
Go to the drug store and buy swabs that have medication on them.If you can`t find ask someone in the pharmacy. They work quickly. Then make an appointment with your Dentist, there`s not much that hurts worse then a tooth.
Okay, it all depends of course on what your problem is. Ibuprofen is the only thing that helps me. Also, clean the tooth really well and rinse with Listerine.
An old remedy is placing a drop of pine sap on the tooth to seal it until you can get to the dentist.
