Let's try something different, What do you think of this idea?

Question:
Instead of laying on your back at the dentist, you sit slightly forward with your head resting on a pad. Then while they put in a filling, a masseuse gives you a back massage? What's the source of this idea you may ask? My back hurts, and I have a dentist appointment coming up.

Answers:
..orrrrrrrrrrrrr, offices could have massagers (like the ones you can buy in the stores for your couches/cars) built right into the chairs... then you could still lie back, the dentist can see what he's doing, and you'll get your massage!

:)
GENIOUS! I'LL SUPPORT!
i like the idea...but it would be hard to get a masseuse at a dentist office
Then the dentist wouldn't have easy access to your mouth.
I do admit that the idea is extremely inviting considering the fact that I would desperately love a back rub, but logically, I think you would regret actually attempting this idea. If you move the wrong way while you're getting a filling, you're dentist could slip and you'd be in a whole new world of pain! That being said, you might want to try the two separately! Good luck!
Sounds good to me, I get dizzy in the chair, because they put my head down to far. And the massage may take my mind off the 6" long needles..ouch ;)
Hey if someone will change my oil and check my tire pressure at the same time, than I'm right on board.
Obviously you aren't serious about this question! And if you are stay home or you'll piss the dentist off. If you are still planning on going.. swallow a Valium and take a heating pad with you otherwise the DDS won't even be able to locate your mouth.
Are you serious? If your back hurts, reschedule your appointment or get a prescription for muscle relaxants.
