I've just noticed that my ceramic cap on my front tooth feels sharp on my tongue?

Question:
Any ideas what's happened here? It feels like a tiny piece may have chipped off though I cannot see it when I look closely in the mirror. I am scared as even the smallest crack can propagate and I would have to have the cap replaced which would cost a lot of money.

Answers:
The porcelain may have chipped off. Most dentist will cover there crowns for 5 years so if it has not been that long then he should replace it for free. Go ahead and call your dental office and ask. If the piece is really small and you can't see it when you smile then the dentist can also just smooth it down so it is not so sharp.
