I assure you, you'll be fine! Picking up 'rubber bands/chains/o'rings/arch wires/ligature wires, and etc.' arent a major deal... placing them in the mouth without gloves is a different story.
As long as her hands were covered before entering your mouth. thats all that matters. Your mouth (inside) is one of the dirtiest places of the human body (no matter how clean you keep it)! It has millions of micro-organisms hybernating and floating around. Wearing gloves while inside the mouth , is important for your protection as well as hers!
In 'Orthodontics' the 'rules' are alittle different than in General Dentistry.
It should be fine, honey your mouth isn't sterile. But she didn't put her hands in your mouth. Granted she should not have done that. But she wasn't scraping your teeth or anything and was wearing them when she put her hands in your mouth. Although it seems very unprofessional.
i doubt it but there is a possibly. u were under gods shield when they did that trust me
you shoulda said somethin, her hands might be kinda dirty but i think you'll be fine
you should seu that discusting lady you could die of germs
The nurses and assistants wash their hands all day long, so you probably aren't at any risk. I wouldn't worry about it too much as long as she put gloves on before she put her hands in my mouth.
You will be fine. A dentist office is a clean environment not a sterile environment. There is no major work being done that would require things like operating room sterilization. As long as the instrument was clean and her hands were clean you should be fine. Its the same as putting a pen cap in your mouth.
Gloves are to protect dental personel from patient germs. You will be fine it is the lady that should be worried.
That's gross but i'm sure your fine.
