My sister is in pain what is wrong?
My sister has been to the dentist but they didn't really know what is wrong.She is having really bad jaw pain.He gave her pain med and antibotic.So far that hasn't helped.When the pain shoots thru her jaw it is more then she can stand.The dentist did mention something about dropped sinus.He took xrays.
This is what she wrote.She really needs help:
He didn't make me better. I think he was stumped too. He'd tap on my teeth on the right side. Sometimes it would cause the pain sometimes not. He took x ray of teeth. Nothing. Took some of my jaw. Now that hurt when he did that. When he looked at them, he ask me if I had sinus trouble. I don't think so, I told him. He said my sinus had dropped. Whatever that means. Also along the line where the sinus are these two nerves. He said that's why sometimes the pain goes all the way under my eye. Then he did this sensitive test on my teeth on the right side. It was very sensitive

If she has been clenching or grinding her teeth when she sleeps then this could cause her jaw to hurt. It can also make your teeth sensitive. This would be the only other thing that I can think of. If this is what she is doing then she should have the dentist make her a night guard to sleep in. She can also get a night guard over the counter at Walmart. There is one called the Doctor's Night guard that she can try to see if that helps. If so then she can have a permanent one made by her dentist. Good luck and I hope that she feels better soon.
