Is 5 too young to lose a tooth?

Question:
My daughter just turned 5 a month ago and today she lost her first tooth! Isn't 5 a tad bit young to lose a tooth? Should I be concerned?

Answers:
No all kids are different. Some loose them sooner then others and some are late. Six is around the age she would start losing teeth. She should be fine
five is perfect age!
No, mine each lost one at 5. I would say it is normal.

If you are concerned, call your dentist.
No and no. ~
Sounds about the right age to start to loose teeth, some start at older age, diet may have something to do with it too. (too much sugar)
5 is the average age for children to start losing there front teeth... Have no worries! It's perfectly normal.

*Smile mom, she's getting to be a big girl now!
** Make sure the 'Tooth Fairy' is informed... *wink wink*
nope i lost my 1st one at 4
That's very normal. Think of all the gap toothed grins in Kindergarten and 1st grade! : )
