Its a girl that shows how they put on her, her braces.
braces are first glued on (the little "brace" that is metal) to your teeth

after the brace is glued on the doctor or assistant will put a metal band that fits into the "braces" that goes through all the braces.

The metal band is held in by the assistant through tying more metal wires around the metal band and braces..

sometimes that is not enough the patient wears rubber bands to fix an overbite or underbite, the rubber bands are slid onto little "nubs" on the braces.

this is all quite painless until later- when your teeth start moving into position.

the braces are easily popped off by the doctor with a special tool in their office.
They will put a big funnfy looking thing in your mouth to hold it open and suck up saliva. they will use a little blower to get your teeth really really dry then wipe some adhesive (like glue) onto your tooth. The Dr. will place the bracket with a little tool and position it and scrap off the extra glue... then they use this little gun looking thing and shine a blue light on the bracket. (it just makes the glue harden and secure)... they do that to all your teeth then they will put a wire in the brackets and move the little clips down on the brackets to hold the wire in.. That's about it... its not bad... hope that helped.
