I had a boil or ascention? on my gum?
I have a tooth that recently had a root canal done, and it broke off in my sleep one night, and theres still a little bit left of the tooth, the root is still there i guess... Anyways, on the gum above it a huge boil appeared. Earlier i had chewed on some stride gum, sugarfree, and it started to hurt really bad, i went to hte mirror to look at it and i saw a huge boil or ascention or something right above it, and im concerned if its bad or not. I have really bad dental problems on my front teeth =/ but its the tooth to the right of my front teeth. and it hurts really bad, ive been taking tylenol and amoxacilin(sp?) for it. Is this ok? and should i see my dentist about this?

It isn't normal to have a boil (aka fistula in the dental community). It sounds like you have a residual infection that needs to be dealt with by extracting the tooth or having the Dr. recheck the root canal to make sure that he/she got all of the infected nerve out when they did it. Follow up with them and keep on the antibiotic and tylenol until you do.
Good luck!

I just had my back bottom teeth pulled last week! My gums have turned bumpy was just wondering why?
All i know is you should deffinatley have your dentist check it out.
Its serious if a root canal or filling falls out as I have had a crown pop out and they took me in the day after.
See your dentist as soon as possible. Maybe even go to the emergency room.
