Temporary filling in a wisdom tooth?
Question:
It's not a big hole, quite small, but the last thing I want is for it to start hurting!
I can see brown-whatever where the hole was am I just wondering if a temporary filling touches that if it'd start hurting.
Answers:
If it is a wisdom tooth, I'd get it pulled. It sounds like a cavity.
Fixing cavities in wisdom teeth are only needed if the tooth is necessary for future needs (partial dentures)

go get a filling. If you qualify for nhs.good luck finding a dentist to accept you, its a national scandal.
Do not let the dentist persuade you to have a wisdom tooth out!
It is a hospital job, because theyre so deeply rooted, and the nerve endings, position of operation, etc come under major surgery. With dirty creeping viral infections rife in most nhs hospitals, do not risk major anestetiesd proccedures, as even the nhs themselves admit, hospitals in 2007 are dirty, superbug infested places, and best avoided.
People die having wisdom teeth out. Trust!
Ps. i have one, dentist said to have it out 20 years ago. its still there, no pain, no problem. check out MRSA on web, and leave it be! get a filling though, as an absess on a wisdom tooth is gonna hurt!
It will hurt much less than waiting and needing a root canal! If you're a chicken about dental work, they can now do sedation dentistry. It's wonderful. It'll cost you a little more (it costs me about $100 more per sedation dentistry session) and you'll need a ride to and from your dental appointment as you'll be doped up on trazadone which is used as a sleep aide. Oh yeah, that $100 won't be touched by your dental insurance. Insurance companies don't cater to us chickens unfortunately. Also, I had my wisdom teeth out under sedation dentistry--he had to cut a couple of them out. Didn't feel a thing and could've slept through the procedure if the dentist hadn't kept talking to me telling me what a good job I was doing. They also were giving me laughing gas, but that made me feel sick to my stomach so I tell them not to do that now. Good luck and dentists aren't evil. Just expensive! Also, tell them your tooth broke and it looks like you've got some decay and it's hurting. They'll try to get you in sooner.
try TOOTHYPEGS from the chemist
