Life saver sugar-free popsicle question.?
Question:
Answers:
I must admit - I'm like that too. I always feel the need to eat or drink something besides water after brushing my teeth.
Although it's hard, it's generally a good rule to stay away from just about everything aside from water after you've brushed your teeth. Sugar-free popsicles have no sugar, but they have other things in them besides sucrose. Many other fermentable carbohydrates, such as starch, glucose, and fructose, are just as bad for your teeth as plain old sugar.
If the popsicle contains no carbs either, then odds are you won't do much harm assuming you have good dental hygiene, but generally I would consider it poor practice to consume any solids after brushing my teeth.
If you like popsicles though, there are healthy alternatives. Something fun to try is to brew some strong tea - chai, black, or good old-fashioned earl grey. Then freeze it into some form you can suck on, perhaps using a home-made popsicle tray. That's a good way to do it, knowing exactly what's going in.
