Dentist Quality Cleaning?

Question:
Is it possible to clean your own teeth nearly as well as you could get it done at a Dentist's office? If so, explain the process please. I have never worked at a place that offered dental insurance, which is frustrating, but would still like to have teeth which appears to be taken care of professionally.

Thank you.

There is no way you could do this without having their instruments and knowing how to properly use them. This is the only way to remove calculus that is deep under your gums. Anti-tartar toothpastes only work for the calculus above your gum line. If you don't get the calculus removed after a while, it will cause damage to your teeth and gums. You can read all about this here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/calculus_%2...

Try to find a college in your area, they do cleanings for a fraction of the price (my school charges about $30)
Hi
I got this straight from my dentist, after you've put toothpaste on your brush, sprinkle salt on to it, not only does it get teeth white salt also kills bacteria.
Ray. West York's. U.K.
you have to floss after every meal and brush after every meal too. also make sure you do brush your tongue and cheeks. bacteria is rampid on your tongue and cheeks and if you don't get rid of it before you brush your teeth, you will redeposit the bacteria onto your teeth.
You do need a dental cleaning twice a yr. tartar builds up under the gums that just flossing and brushing can't get rid of. the dds needs to go deep under the gums to get rid of the buildup before it gets hard.
The best place to have your teeth cleaned is at the dentist office. They have special tools to remove plaque and to clean under the gums. The most we can do at home is brush and floss. I have recently seen in the market tools to help clean under the gums but i wouldn't use them if i were you. Dentists and other dental professionals have studied the structure of the teeth in and out and know where it's safe to clean and special techniques to clean safely to ensure we don't get our gums and nerve endings injured. It is recommended you have your teeth professionally cleaned atleast twice a year. During cleaning, your dentist will also check your teeth for possible tooth decay, gum disease and other oral conditions that can be detrimental if not looked into.

Don't have access to dental insurance? i would recommend you visit a dental school in your area. Some dental schools offer free or low cost dental care. Onother option is to set aside money for dental check ups. Can you save $20 or so every month just for dental care? it is possible. Dental Cleaning costs on avarage $150.00 without insurance, but hugely depends on the state you live and the dentist you see.
Third option is to sign up with a discount dental plans which are plans designed to give you discounts at the dentist.
No, not as well as a dentist. If so, we wouldn't need to go there! There are some things you can do to slow down plaque build up and keep your teeth healthy. But after the build up is there you need the insturments at the dentists to scrap off and polish for you. Cleanings are not very expensive, probably cost $100 to jump in and get your teeth cleaned. Do that once. Then use a sonic care electric toothbrush.3 times per day..floss at least once per day.and this will help prolong the next time you need a cleaning.
Get a tiny drill bit and a sandblaster.
