How much money are you willing to pay when selecting a tooth brush?

Question:
Normally I'll pay anywhere from $2.00 to $3.00. I remember purchasing a tooth brush some time ago and some random guy in the store made this comment. "So, what else does it do besides keeping your teeth clean? Does it tell time? Does it act as a secondary remote for you Tele?" So he continues on to say "I pay less than a $1.00. Why pay more?" I pay more because I actually do care about my teeth! Spare no expense unless you can't afford it!

Answers:
I have a Sonicare toothbrush that I payed $100 for. I would not ever go back to a manual toothbrush. You can buy a sonicare for a $100 and it comes with two heads, a charger and sometimes a travel case. If you take care of it, it will last you for many, many years. You will need to replace the head every six months. I can promise you that your teeth will last you much longer and when you are much older your gums will be in much better condition. When you get your teeth cleaned your hygienist will notice a difference. If you need proof call a dentist and ask them what they recommend. I am an oral surgery dental assistant. I strongly suggest that you consider purchasing a Sonicare toothbrush. I know that it is expensive but how can you put a price on your smile... That brush may be expensive but do you know how much it is to get a tooth pulled or to have one filled and crowned. If you care about your appearance and health then this one time purchase is very worth it..
Sounds like you are just ranting and need no answers!
3.79. get a decent one.
20 dollar the better clean the better i am
If I thought the toothbrush looked cool, and liked how it looks and stuff, I'd pay anything for it. Haha.
I usually pay between $3.00 and $5.00 every three months. The toothbrushes I have seen for under $1.00 do not clean your teeth. You might as well not brush. I think some people think if you smell like toothpaste that means your teeth are clean.
Just went through this. I like to stay in the $2-3 range. But I just found a great electric toothbrush from Oral B for $8. Which does a MUCH better job and is better on your gums.

So I;m actually saving money in gum surgery later.
well i would pay and average of $20.00 for a pair of tooth brushes
no more than 4.00
i would be willing to pay $2.00 at duane reade. keep it simple its just a tooth brush
I think just a normal plain toothbrush just does the job, I have one and used them types for 7 years now and never had a filling!!

First things ever came out before the electric ones, and still as good as them.

Stick with the cheap plain ones in my view. Never let you down.
about 300yen=4$
I think what the brush is like is important but how you brush your teeth is more.I won't pay more than 5$.
It depends on my finances. But I spend $3 for my last one because it was exactly what my old teeth and sad gums needed.

I have not been able to afford a dentist for years and know I need some work, but regular flossing and picking and brushing more than keep them clean and free of tartar.

A good toothbrush is part of the regime. At my age you need soft soft soft... soft....
