I'm getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow. Is it really that bad? Or am I just making myself nervous?

Its not that bad. At first you will be completely numb. They'll give you some pain meds, probably vicodin. Ask how soon you can take your first dose and take it then (probably 20 minutes after you leave). Once that wears off just take it if you need it. You can also try advil. Your mouth and face will also be swollen, but not badly.
The pain is mild, like a tooth ache. It only lasted 2 days or so for me. You may have a hard time eating foods you have to chew for the first day. Try applesauce, ice cream, yogurt, soft fruits like bananas, rice, soup, smoothies and mashed potatoes. After a day or so you can add foods like macaroni and cheese, watermelon and cooked veggies.
I was eating normal by the third day.
Good luck.
i hate to tell you this, but it's going to huty but you'll be given pain killers so you should be fine
I was fine by the next day. I'm sure you'll be fine! Good Luck :)
It's not a barrel of fun but follow the doctor's orders and you will feel much better in a day or two.
Depends on the dentist
yeah im in the same position you are in i get 2 of mine out in like 2 hours but mine havent grown roots yt if yours have grownroots its going to hurt alot more thaen mine ill come back after i get it done and answer your question again and tell you how bad it was or not bad lol good luck ok i got 2 of mine out at 1 it is now 8 i had no root on my wisdom teeth so it doesnt hurt at like all. however i had to get a tooth surgicliy uprighted and that hurts like crap but i hope this helps
It is not bad, pain only lasts a few days. Make sure to follow the doctor's advice. I didn't on the 'not to suck on straws' advice and ended up with a dry socket. Basically the stitches come out early and you are left with a hole where the molar was. If that happens, don't eat oatmeal. It is not easy to get out of the hole (and painful to do so). The hole (if you do get a dry socket) will probably fully heal up in a few months and does not hurt any longer than the non dry socket. Mine did. I was just glad to get the wisdom teeth out as they were compacted and causing me way bigger issues than a couple of days of healing time. I was getting migranes from the wisdom teeth pushing my other teeth farther together.
Make sure that you have someone to drive you home afterwards, as you will still be a bit groggy.
