Do expander's hurt?
Question:
Answers:
Sorry, but yes... They are designed to force the teeth apart and that means moving the tooth through the dense tissue of the gums...
Ibuprofen will help you through it. Talk (or have your parents if you're still pretty young), and find out what the highest dose you can take is. On the day of the procedure, take some about a half hour before you go to the dentist.
It will hurt, but it's worth it in later years... Going without braces when you need them will lead to far more pain when you're older... trust me, I know...
yeah. a lot.
You will have soreness. Take some pain relievers BEFORE and after the proceedure. This will help by having the medication in your system to help the pain before it starts. It will probably last for a few days to a week
No they dont hurt but they are very uncomfortable. I had braces for over 5 years so if you have any questions about them I can tell you.
My friend got one, and the first couple days it hurt and she had a hard time eating and stuff like that. But after a week she was completely used to it and it didnt hurt anymore!
well there not that bad, but it will be sore a couple of days.
good luck on them! hope they don't hurt too badly.
what do you mean by ex panders are you talking about in plants because if you are yes they put you under Anastasia and while you are in recovery it hurts it really does
If you're talking about a palette expander, then, yeah, they hurt. But if you're talking about spacers that help make room between molars for the braces to anchor to, then no.
