Question:
I have been having the pain in one of my tooth that have undergone tooth filling a few years back. First it was tolerable that lasted for a few days. Then it started hurting for longer minutes and now it is keeping me awake. The thing is, when I am in upright position it doesn't hurt as much but when i am lying down that is when it is hurting the most. It is weekend over here and unfortunately we have a flight on Monday. I have taken Motrin but didn't really do a thing and also Vicodin which didn't help either. Orajel worked for a few seconds only. Is there anything I can do since I might be able to see the dentist sometime the end of August to relieve the pain? Please help me out and thank you.

Go to a local dentist, get a root canal, have him put in a temporary. Done, 1 hour, a little poorer, but out of pain. boo yah.
I have almost the same thing. I had my tooth filled about 2 years ago and now it's hurting like crazy. I went to my dentist and he said that I was griding my teeth and I grinded the filling out and he put a cap over it. But deff call your dentist and see what he/she says. Good Luck! feel better
Hi its quite common to have this problem sometimes after having a fillinf it starts to leak and you can get decay under the filling without knowing it. This rots your tooth down to your nerve wich in turn causes pulpitis and an abcess.
Try using clove oil it helps alot although has a strong smell also try taking ibuprofen and paracetamol combined, you can take these together safley and they work well.
