Can you cut the stringy thing under ur tongue to make it go out farther?
I know u can split the end of your toung but canu cut the thing that gets in the way when you try to stick ur tongue out really far?
If u can then what is it called and what can go wrong when u do it?

A lingual frenectomy is the removal of the lingual frenum, or the tissue under the tongue. Immediately after this minor oral surgery, the tongue can often dramatically extend out of the mouth which it could not do before. Complications with the salivary glands is a recognized risk. It can usually be performed by a Dentist. I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself.

I don't know, but i know someone who has it, and it can prevent people from talking properly. Its just passed on your in genes, like the ability to roll your tongue. So unless its really effecting your speech, don't worry about it.

It can actually extend your tongue quite far by removing it, it is an unnecessary part of the body, like the tonsils. Nothing really can go wrong just keep it clean. thats what Gene Simmons does.

You can't do anything of the sort but a doctor can. My adoptive brother had to have that snipped b/c it was grown too far to the end of his tongue. He did just fine. I forget what that pc is called. I'm sure bleeding is a very BIG factor. Surgery located any where in the mouth is dangerous for bleeding and infections.

That's something very stupid to do if you are thinking of doing. Come on it's something very important and helps in so many ways, it helps you move you tongue, produce saliva, eat and speak. It would be as wanting to snap your spinal cord. DON'T DO SUCH A FOOLISH THING! A LOT OF THINGS CAN GO WRONG!
well i know the guys in the band Kiss did something to make their tongues stick out farther. I don't know what though. I do not recommend cutting any part of your tongue without a pro though.
