Does it hurt to get your braces taken off?

Question:
hi

um im getting my braces off on september 5 and i was wondering is it going to hurt because my orth. sayd it shouldnt hurt i should only feel discomfort when their taking off the glue

is that true because im really scared

Answers:
No, that’s not pain.
Molten hot shrapnel ripping through your torso, now that’s pain. A collapsed lung with a sucking chest wound for 40 minutes on a battlefield without morphine, and now you’re talking pain. An orthodontist fiddling around with some glue on your teeth is NOT pain.
He's telling the truth.

Good luck and CONGRATULATIONS!
it doesnt hurt...its scary because they are all in your mouth but it wont hurt at all...they shaved the bottoms of my teeth and made them look really good so it was a good experiance for me. you will be fine, plus if they DO hurt you or break a tooth or something they will have to pay to fix it not you.
Don't be afraid. I'm 18 and I took my braces off last year. I really thought it was going to hurt too, but like your doctor said, it's just going to be a little discomfort . You're going to have a wonderful smile. =)
No, it doesn't.
its doesnt hurt at all.

maybe the only pain/discomfort you feel
is when they take off the bands.
YES IT REALLY HURTS im kidding lolz it hurts if u have REALLY sensitive teeth but i dun think udo ><> <>< Fishy xD
I got my braces off 2 weeks ago and I wondered the same thing. It doesn't hurt at all when they pop off the braces, just a bit of pressure. The only part of the process I found uncomfortable was when they polished the ridges off my teeth and that wasn't that bad.
